We recently had the pleasure of partnering with a local business in Stroud, Gloucestershire to design and build two bespoke, single-storey cabins for their expanding office site. This project was particularly exciting as it allowed us to blend sustainable materials with creative design, resulting in a workspace that perfectly complements the client’s natural surroundings.
The cabins were crafted entirely from reclaimed cedar wood, sourced from Wales, providing a rustic, natural aesthetic that seamlessly integrates with the meadow opposite the site. Our design team worked closely with the client to incorporate unique touches—such as re-purposing old valves as coat hooks—while also ensuring modern functionality with sleek, black kitchen units and worktops that offer a clean, sophisticated feel.
A highlight of the project was the creation of an inviting outdoor space, featuring a cosy firepit at its centre and a calming water feature. This area has become a hub for the client’s team, offering a tranquil yet functional space for informal meetings and gatherings. The seating we designed around the firepit has quickly become a favourite spot for the team to collaborate and relax during the day.
At Wild Huts, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We were thrilled to bring this ethos to life in every element of this project, creating not just workspaces, but environments that inspire creativity, productivity, and connection with nature.
If you’re looking for a sustainable, unique solution for your next building project, we would love to help bring your vision to life.
